Economy Inn

The rooms were clean, and there's a laundry machine. There's no free breakfast, though they do have morning coffee in the lobby. One small gripe: you have to ask at the front desk for the Wi-Fi password, since it isn't in the room. I stayed at Safari before, and this place is definitely better. The staff were trustworthy and great with customer service. I had a few things shipped while traveling, and they made sure I got my packages.

It's cheap, so if comfort and cleanliness aren't priorities, I'd still rate it above sleeping in the car. The entrance doors have tobacco-free signs, but the whole building smelled like ashtrays.

The price is the main upside, and the location is handy, between Arby's and Wendy's with two gas stations nearby. We came here in 2018 and it used to be nicer. It's definitely gone downhill since then, and I'm not sure I'll return. After about 6 pm, the hallways smelled of cigarette smoke. The back door wouldn't lock shut, so anyone could get in, and the pool was out of service. At 10 am on checkout day, staff banged on our door and startled my grandmother, even though checkout wasn't until 11. Cheap rooms compared with other hotels, but you get what you pay for.

We were driving home and needed to pull over and rest. We hadn't known the Utah state fair was on, and this was the only area with rooms available. I called ahead, and the man said there was a vacancy. When we arrived to check in, he said Utah law limited a room to two adults, then told us there'd be a $10 charge for each additional adult. We wouldn't have minded paying the extra $20, but his tone and body language were rude and aggressive, and I felt uncomfortable. We started to leave, but he yelled at us to turn around and pay. We needed a room, but not badly enough to put up with that. After reading the reviews here, I'm glad my family and I didn't stay.
