Seahorse Oceanfront Inn

The hotel’s in a great location, but having to pay $20 for parking and still not have a guaranteed spot was a big miss for us. We even had to put a cone in our space to try to keep someone from taking it, with no guarantee it would work. There was no ice on site either, which was disappointing. Think 1980s spring break hotel and you’ve got Seahorse. It’s clearly had years of beach wear and tear, though the rooms were adequate and had what we needed. I was pleasantly surprised by the soundproofing, and the balcony was nice and big. I’m sure the pool and bar next door are great, but we were there briefly in December. One person at the front desk was amazing; the other was honestly worthless.

We had the best time here recently, staying with my husband and our two kids. The rooms were clean and the views were perfect. We stopped by lemon bar a couple of times, and the drinks were awesome, with a great selection. Our family’s already talking about coming back this summer!

The location is hard to beat, and the views were outstanding. The staff were really nice and helpful, there’s a bar and grill on site, and the pool looked beautiful, though the cooler weather kept us out of it. There were plenty of spots to sit and relax outside or on the deck. For the price and location, this is the best place we’ve stayed, and it’s now our number one after trying lots of others. I plan to stay again next time my husband and I visit. My mother-in-law lives in Jacksonville, so we come often. It’s dog friendly too if you bring your pooch, though we don’t travel that far with ours.

We had such a lovely stay. The beds were really comfy, and beach access was the best. Food and drinks were an easy walk away. We worried the Lemon Bar might be noisy, but with the AC running it was honestly just white noise in the background.
