We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and quiet, a welcome relief when the town gets busy, and the beds were very comfortable. I was glad to have the blow dryer and mini fridge, and we found an extra seating area down the hall with an ice machine, an iron, and spare towels. One thing to know about the town is parking. They warned us it might be difficult, but we hadn’t realized the meters take quarters. It costs $.50 an hour, you can pay for up to 3 hours at a time, and you can’t add more time later.

The mattress and pillows were divine. I’ve never slept so well in a hotel. Our room was clean and spacious, and we had a great time here. The door code failed a few times, but the person who answered the phone, even on Thanksgiving, was really helpful and quickly got us a new code. After that it worked smoothly. I’d definitely recommend staying here and would come back.

We were lucky to catch the Saturday Farmers Market and picked up some nice things for a picnic lunch. Staying here makes it easy to explore historic Nevada City, a quaint old mining town with lots of good restaurants and bars, plus plenty of little shops.

The room was amazing, with a great view, a wonderfully warm duvet, and carpet I like better than the one at home. The hotel is right on downtown’s main street in Nevada City, one of the cutest towns I’ve seen. I’ll definitely stay again.

The room had what you’d expect, but it was extremely cold and loud. We stayed over a winter weekend, and the windows let in a lot of outside air as well as noise, something the listing didn’t mention. We followed the HVAC instructions, but the wall unit couldn’t keep up with the drafts. Extra blankets helped, otherwise we might have had to find somewhere else.
