Marney, the owner, has clearly gone the extra mile to make the Two Room Inn a memorable little cottage. It has private parking and all the amenities you need, whether you want to eat in or take a short walk to one of Nevada City’s many good restaurants. It’s quaint, charming, practical, comfortable, and convenient. Nevada City itself is exactly the sort of charming town you’d picture.

Marney was honest and upfront, and lovely to deal with both before our visit and after we left. The Two Room Inn was everything I’d hoped to find in Nevada City, well cared for and full of the feel of an 1800's Victorian home. It has the modern conveniences we’re used to without losing its historic character. Places and people this genuine are rare. I hope everyone who stays here enjoys and respects it as much as we did. We’re looking forward to coming back.

The Two Room Inn was roomy, cozy, well kept, and had comfortable bedding. The kitchen was fully stocked with a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, and more, and there was laundry, TV, and WiFi. The upstairs bedroom felt private and was just right. It’s a cute Victorian-style home, and I have no regrets about staying. Nevada City was my first visit, and I honestly won’t be coming back to the city. The food and drinks were terrible, with poor quality restaurants and overpriced wholesale clothing shops that seemed aimed at draining tourists. Still, if you need a place to stay, the Two Room Inn is worth it. Thank you!

My grandmother booked my boyfriend and me a stay from the 11th-14th of November this week, and we had a wonderful time. The house was gorgeous, cozy, very clean and organized, with plenty of blankets and towels. The town was calm, and there was enough to look at during the day. We were happy just going for a walk whenever we got bored, all three days. I wished we could have stayed two more days or longer, and next time I’d like to make it a whole week. I do wish there had been something to read about the building. I’m curious when it was built and who lived there originally. Around 2 in the morning, I may or may not have heard ghostly footsteps downstairs, below the bedroom. My boyfriend thought I was just trying to scare him when I told him in the morning.

We stayed in this sweet little inn in January 2020 for my daughter’s wedding. It’s a lovely Victorian home in a great location.
