The owners were amazing, and the price was reasonable. The rooms are large, with spacious bathrooms that have both a separate walk-in shower and a big tub.

January 21/26. The room was spacious, but the concrete floor and block construction made it cold. The shower had barely any pressure on the hot side, and the water never got hot. I couldn’t find the owner to tell them, and the signs say refunds are only available in the first five minutes. I didn’t discover the shower problem until hours later. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The room was tiny and in bad shape, with almost no space for my things from the car. I could see light all around the poorly sealed door the next morning. There was also a woman living there who was often loud and yelling. The manager or owner had a poor attitude, and I heard a customer upset about not being paid for work they’d done for him. I wouldn’t go to him for work if I were in a bind. One night, as I was getting ready to sleep, I heard screaming. A grown man was lying in the parking lot and yelling. I don’t know what was happening, maybe drugs or a mental health issue, but it made me feel unsafe. The owner or manager was nowhere around when the police arrived. I also heard another guest complaining to the office man as I walked my dog outside. I won’t stay here again. If you want a pleasant stay, choose another hotel or motel.

The location was great, but the rooms were disgusting. There were cigarette burns on the bedding, and the whole room smelled like mold and smoke. The owner was rude and acted like we were a nuisance. Police came by twice during my three-day stay. They say they’re pet friendly and have a dog station, but we were yelled at for walking our two small dogs near it and told to take them off the property. They also charged a premium for the dogs. The roadside motel’s retro, campy look is about all it has going for it. We were lucky not to get bedbugs, I guess. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else.
