Bridge Point Hotel & Marina

The room was clean and the king bed was comfortable, though I noticed a faint cigarette smell when I first walked in. It wasn’t bad enough for me to ask for another room. Staff were friendly, and the complimentary breakfast had lots of choices: eggs, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, muffins, and coffee. Everything was good except the sausage patties, which were pretty awful. It was fine for a night or two, but I’d consider another hotel for a longer stay.

The hotel is older, but the recent renovations have made it feel like a little paradise. The grounds are well kept, and the Marina walk was a must for my dog, Sir Winston, who loved it. It’s a Dog Friendly Hotel, and the staff pay close attention to what dog owners need. We definitely recommend it, especially if you’re traveling with a dog.

I opened the door and was hit by an overwhelming smell of old dirt and filthy carpet. It was the most disgusting room I’ve ever walked into, so I went straight back to the front desk and refused it. The receptionist wouldn’t refund my money. After driving six hours today, I’m heading to the next town rather than stay here.

The marina access could be a real plus for people with dogs. We found the beds less comfortable than we’d expect, though that alone wouldn’t decide whether we came back.
