Holiday Inn Express & Suites New Bern Medical Park by IHG

We booked three rooms for the family, and the hotel and rooms were very clean. Koe and Danh were especially welcoming and helped us at check-in and with anything else that came up. Danh even came out to offer my dad help with our luggage. We really appreciated the hospitality.

The location is handy, near food and shopping on the right side of the mall, and the area felt very safe. I loved my stay, even though I left before breakfast. The room felt fresh and was super clean, with wide plank flooring that seemed cleaner than carpet. It had plenty of lighting choices, a fridge and microwave, and a closet side door with an iron and ironing board. The bed was comfortable, with pillows in different firmness levels. In the bathroom, the walk-in shower has sliding glass doors and the mirror has built-in lighting. The hotel is new and nicely equipped. At check-in, the front desk clerk greeted me warmly and was both kind and efficient. Seeing that I had several bags, she offered to come with me, open my door, and turn on the light. A wonderful addition to New Bern, and kudos for a job well done.

The rooms are nice, and the other staff were nice too, but Koe is the reason I'm writing. We had special accommodation needs, and he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. He stayed 30 minutes past his scheduled shift, handled the situation with grace and care, and took whatever time was needed. That kind of service is rare, especially at a Holiday Inn Express. Koe could easily work at a Ritz Carlton or another high-end hotel. Thank you for the outstanding help! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The beds were comfortable. I found the pillows too big and puffy, though my husband liked them. Breakfast was full, with eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, bread, and muffins, plus milk, juice, coffee, and tea. The place was very clean, in a safe area, and the staff were friendly. We had a small issue around 9 pm, but a maintenance person was on site and at our room within five minutes.
