The Harvey made it easy from booking through checkout, including getting into the room. It's a beautiful hotel where every detail seems carefully planned. A great base for enjoying downtown New Bern, and I'll definitely come back.

We had clear, complete instructions by email and text about arrival and logistics, and everything went smoothly. While having no front desk might be a concern for some people, it wasn't a problem for us. The Harvey was an unexpected gem in lovely little New Bern, NC. Its beautifully renovated rooms have thoughtful details hotels often miss, like a mirror you can actually use to apply makeup. The bed may have been the most comfortable one on our road trip.

The King Suite worked well for entertaining and catering, and the decor gave the stay a distinctive feel. I manage itineraries for speakers, special guests, and our executive team as an EA and event coordinator. For a recent conference at the Riverfront Convention Center in New Bern, we booked 10 rooms at The Harvey, just a minute's walk away. The e-boutique hotel's accommodation, service, and privacy exceeded expectations. Melissa, our hostess, was very helpful and responsive while respecting our privacy. I highly recommend The Harvey for a memorable stay, and we look forward to working together again.

We enjoyed an afternoon glass of wine on our room's balcony, then walked a short distance to our dinner reservation at Morgan's Tavern. There were lots of nearby places to see, and the renovated hotel was beautifully decorated. The text-message check-in and keyless entry made the stay easy and pleasant. We had a spectacular visit at the Harvey and will definitely stay again.

The renovation is gorgeous, and our room was roomy, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. They left water and both sweet and savory snacks for us, and parking behind the building was easy. We could walk to several good breakfast places and restaurants. The Harvey runs without staff on site, with help available by text, email, or phone. Everything worked fine, though I did miss having a person around. I can see why they do it with just a few rooms, but I think the place could also thrive as a full-service bed and breakfast. One frustrating detail was the bathroom light. It runs on a motion sensor with no manual setting, so getting up at night means a sudden blast of bright light. I texted about it and got a quick, polite reply, but not the fix I was hoping for. Still, I had a lovely stay in this beautifully restored place, and would recommend it if you’re comfortable with no one on site.
