Old Mill Resort

While visiting Gruene, we stayed in A3 and had a great time. It’s spacious, clean, and comfortable, with the river right nearby and the historic downtown area just a short distance away. The condo and hosts were great. I’ll use it again.

A really nice place to stay, though the AC shuts off in the middle of the night and the room gets warm. You can’t turn it down. The doors could use oil and rubber to keep them from slamming and creaking so loudly.

I was worried when the venue changed ownership and management shortly before the celebration of life I hosted there. After meeting the new management, though, I got exactly what I was looking for. The building is well equipped for a large event, and the location is beautiful. Several guests commented on how pretty the venue was. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

We brought our two kids and a nanny, and the kids had lots of room to ride their bikes around the parking lot. The staff were lovely, and Bev at the front desk kept our supplies stocked and was so helpful. The price felt reasonable for what we got, and the service was good. The spacious, clean rooms and pool were great, and Gruene is close to everything. We stayed at old mill for nine nights and absolutely loved it. Our only change would be to have grills closer to our condo, but it didn’t affect our five-star review. We were there in the off season and enjoyed how quiet the grounds were. It was still warm enough in September for the pool and floating the comal river. I can’t wait to come back, sooner rather than later, and would recommend Old Mill a Resort to anyone.
