Comfort Inn

The pool wasn't working during our visit, but we booked a room with a jacuzzi tub, which helped. The room was clean and quite nice, and the counter service was friendly. Breakfast was decent enough too. Definitely a good place to stay.

Parking was the main issue, there just wasn't enough of it. Breakfast wasn't very appealing, with what seemed like dehydrated eggs and cheap, skinny sausage. It was alright, though. I made do.

We were there for a week, and the service was terrible. The ice bucket had mold, the carpets were dirty, and the maid didn't clean or make the beds while we were out. The breakfast lady got in my way as I was trying to get food, bumped into me, and didn't apologize. The beds were hard as a rock, and the worn sheets kept slipping off the corners. Even turned all the way up, the mini fridge wouldn't get cold. I don't recommend this place.

On our second visit, the clerk from last year greeted us again. I didn't catch her name, but I remembered how sweet she was to our daughter, and she was just as helpful and fabulous this time. Our room was basic but had what we needed, with a nice view of the woods behind the hotel. There are a few outdoor spots to sit, though one side could use some tidying up, especially the old picnic table by the tree line. Breakfast had a decent range, including low-carb choices and both hot and cold items, not just honey buns and coffee. Parking was good, and Mc Donald’s and Dollar General are close by, with the beach a short drive away. The outside is well lit except at the very back of the side lots.
