At least the water was hot, but that was about the only good thing. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed, and there was hair in the tub, pee around the toilet, and dirt and hair across the bathroom floor. The dust ruffle had blood stains, the curtains had nasty crusty stuff, and someone had left a used piece of soap underneath the new bar in the shower. The toilet was broken and barely attached to the floor, so you nearly fall off it. There was mold on the walls. The front desk staff hanging around with a male guest seemed very unprofessional. Everything felt dirty, and I won't come back.

The coffee was good, but housekeeping was poor. There was pee on the toilet and dirt in the drawers and under the mattresses. The beds didn't have mattress covers. We had three people and only two towels, and when we asked guest services for another, they said each room was allowed only two.

The bedbugs made the room so disgusting I couldn't bring myself to sleep in the bed. The comforter had clear piss stains, and there were poop stains on the sheets. I've never had a worse hotel stay. I felt dirty just standing in the room, and the staff seemed not to care about cleanliness or guests' health and safety. A room in that condition should never be rented out. If you care about your health, sanity, or basic human decency, avoid this dump. It shouldn't be in business. Sleep in your car instead.

Both times I stayed here, the hairdryer didn't work. It's one of the only hotels in Newcastle, which is why I've given it two tries. When I called the front desk about the dryer, the receptionist told me, “not my problem.” Isn't the front desk supposed to handle things like that? The place is dirty and run down, and the receptionist was rude.
