The inn's location worked really well, with sights nearby on foot and easy access to Portsmouth and Kittery. Our pet-friendly room had its own street entrance and was super clean, with nice remodeling. The shower was fantastic for someone with bad knees :). We had a small restaurant sharing the wall, but noise wasn't an issue, and it was very convenient for breakfast. The king bed was too big for the available space, though, so it was hard to move around it, and the side tables were tiny. Smash like and follow if this review helped.

Downstairs there's a cafe with delicious baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, and salads. The island itself is peaceful and quiet, and Portsmouth is only about a 10-minute drive away. We loved our three days at Great Island Inn and would happily return. Our room was spacious and nicely designed and decorated, with a comfortable king mattress and bedding. It also had a kitchen and in-room laundry.

Great Island Inn is in a charming, peaceful neighborhood, with easy trips to Portsmouth and Kittery and a very good cafe next door. The staff responded quickly to questions even after hours. Communication, check-in, cleanliness, and amenities were all perfect. I can't recommend the place enough. Look no further, you won't regret it!

The location was exquisite, about a five-minute drive or a 45-minute walk to Portsmouth, and getting there was easy. We loved our spacious, updated room. Having a kitchen was cool, even though we didn't use it, and the bathroom was impressively roomy, with a tub and stacked laundry. A big thank you to Milena, who answered the phone after hours and helped clarify and sort something out. The room was perfect.

Everything was spotless, from the guest rooms to the shared areas, and the staff were so friendly that we felt at home as soon as we arrived. It's a charming inn in a great spot, with shops, restaurants, and attractions all an easy walk away. We had a wonderful stay, highly recommend it for a visit to the area, and we'll be back.
