I’ve stayed here several times, and for a low-priced motel it’s not bad at all, even compared with some five-star places. My rooms have always been perfectly clean, and they have both large and small refrigerators, plus a plasma TV with cable. The location works well for me: restaurants, a gas station, fast food, and the highway are close by, and downtown New Cumberland is only ten minutes away. If you don’t want to spend one or two hundred dollars a night, this motel is a good fit.

We stayed for 3 months while working, and it was a really good stay. The hotel isn’t fully updated, but the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff were very friendly and polite, but the room was filthy and had an overpowering cigarette smell. There was hair all over the bathroom, five or more burn holes in the bed comforter, a filthy AC vent, a broken computer chair, and food left in the fridge. Someone had stuffed a wad of paper into the door peephole. I stayed for two days.

I couldn’t get my reservation canceled or my money refunded, even after seeing the room. I’m appalled that anyone calls Super 8 New Cumberland a Super 8. The place was filthy beyond dirty. Everything looked so heavily used and caked with grime that we didn’t want to touch anything. There was soap scum built up in the tub, yellow stains on the pillows, moldy lampshades, hair on the toilet, and an unbelievable amount of dust on the upholstered chair.

Nah, that hotel was no good. It stank and was dirty, and I don’t even think they’d cleaned the room. I booked it today and left 20 minutes later. I’m disappointed and want my money back.
