Days Inn Middletown

We appreciated the daily housekeeping during our four-night stay, and the room was well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful, too. My wife had been looking forward to the outdoor pool, but it wasn't heated. Breakfast was underwhelming: waffles were the only hot choice, there weren't many breads, including no English muffins, and the pastries weren't very appetizing.

We needed a last-minute place to stay in the area and wound up here, but I wouldn't recommend it. The first room smelled bad, had stains on the sheets, and red stuff in one corner of the tub. The manager kindly moved us to another room, which was a little better but still not much of an improvement. There was no breakfast, and we left as early as we could the next morning.

The guy was rude when I booked, and then we found a bed bug crawling right near my boyfriend's and my heads. The lights were on, so that says to me there may be an infestation. My boyfriend had already killed it, so I couldn't get a picture. Do not stay here.

We only needed a place to sleep and shower before leaving, thankfully. The bathroom was old and kind of gross, the paint was peeling all over, and the toilet was missing its back cover, apparently so it would fit under the counter. TV options were limited, with Tubi as the only choice.
