Hotel Marcel New Haven, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

We arrived late and didn’t have much time to use the amenities, but had a good stay. The double queen room was enough space, if a little small, and the bathroom was great. I liked the motion-sensor lights for getting up at night. The beds were comfortable, and the blackout shades could’ve kept us asleep until noon. Breakfast was delicious, though the two servers were pretty busy.

I’ve liked this as my go-to New Haven hotel for years. The rooms are spacious, the restaurant has really good food and decent hours, and I appreciate the sustainability efforts. Customer service has always been amazing. Cleanliness has been another reason I liked staying here, but my last room didn’t meet that standard, so I took off a star. I hope it was a one-time problem and not a drop in quality.

Louie at the front desk made us feel welcome right away. He was friendly and helpful, and that great service is why Hotel Marcel New Haven has become our regular Christmas stop. We’ll stay here whenever we’re on our way to New York, and I’d absolutely recommend it. The building’s modern design gives it a comfortable feel, and the location is really convenient. It’s right next to IKEA and close to the city, so getting around was easy.

The rooms were roomy and modern, and the hotel was clean from the lobby up through the guest floors. The on-site restaurant and bar were good and reasonably priced, and the lattes were A+. Staff were excellent on both of my stays in the same week, always friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. This Hilton property lived up to what I expect. I’ll stay here again when I’m back in New Haven, and would recommend it to a friend.
