Carriage House of New Hope

Everything we wanted to explore was right outside, and we had a lovely weekend in New Hope with our Dalmatian. The room was immaculate, private, quiet, and had a gorgeous view. Carriage House is now our favorite place to stay, especially because it welcomes dogs. The receptionist at Ghost Light Inn was wonderful and made sure we had a great visit.

The Carriage House felt like a home, and we were so comfortable there we hated to leave. I stayed in Suite 13 the night before my wedding and on the wedding night. After having to postpone several times, I appreciated how accommodating they were with each reschedule and how quickly they replied. My Maid of Honor and I were greeted so warmly by the two employees at check-in, and the quiet, private building was a relief. The two-story suite had two bathrooms, a lovely layout and decor, and a beautiful view. It was a great place for my bridesmaids and me to get ready. We had breakfast in the big, welcoming kitchen, curled up on the sectional with cozy blankets to watch Netflix, and chatted on the balconies while taking in the peaceful view. After our summer wedding in the heat, coming back to a beautiful shower and a comfortable upstairs bed with plenty of pillows was just what I needed. We also walked about two minutes to pick up dinner from Stella. Everything fun to do locally is nearby. I couldn’t be happier with the stay, and I think we’ll come back for our anniversary every year.

We were blown away by how elegant and spacious the place was when we arrived. We’d only seen it online, so we weren’t sure what to expect. It’s right among the bars and restaurants, and there’s a water view. Manager Jimmy gave us five-star service, and the staff were more than accommodating. Suite 13 comes with complimentary parking, which was a big help. A charming, amazing place to stay in the middle of New Hope.

With only three rooms, it was wonderfully quiet, just what we were after. Our room was modern and clean, and the porch looked out over the Delaware River with a spectacular view. We had a wonderful stay at this real gem. It’s also just a short walk to lots of restaurants. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it.
