The Raven Resort

Sunday tea dance is a great time here. The bar gets packed, but you don’t have to be under 30 to feel at ease. Staff are attentive and remember customers after their first visit. It’s the place to go after the New Hope Celebrates gay pride parade in May.

We made a last-minute decision to spend the night in New Hope and lucked into this lovely inn. The room was amazing, the staff incredibly friendly, and we had a great time at the bar. The decor, comfort, atmosphere, staff, and the other customers and guests were all wonderful. We’ll be back later this month, and plenty more times after that.

I rang in New Year’s Eve 2018 here and had a great weekend despite the bitter cold. I got the last room in the guest house out back. They’d renovated it really well, and it was clean, though a bit cold in that freezing weather. I’ve been coming for years and have lots of good memories. The rooms across the street are cheaper and nice too. Sunday T dance needs drink specials or something to get it back to how it was. The good-looking guys are a plus. The CD/trans group that sometimes comes here is a freak show, though worth a laugh. And why do annoying straight women come here, get drunk, and sloppy? They should go to a straight bar and drive them crazy. Poolside summers are great.

I first spent a day at The Raven in May, had such a fabulous time that I came back a couple of months later for a long weekend, and I’m going again next month. Poe, the new restaurant, is the best. The atmosphere, food, and service are all great, and on a nice evening the tucked-away patio out back feels romantic and relaxing. The nightly specials rotate through different themes, but Fridays are the best. Between dinner and the dance floor, the piano bar makes a nice place to take a break. There’s a great mix of friendly people. Fantastico!
