We booked online the week before coming to visit my girlfriend’s home for the yearly family and friends gathering. Since it’s a two-hour drive each way, we planned to stay after the party instead of driving back. The room smelled, and the window only had sheer panels, with no shade or curtain. They also took a $25 incidental fee at check-in without telling us beforehand, and 12 days later it still hadn’t come back to my bank. We won’t stay here next time.

I got a decent night’s sleep, and the woman at the front desk was very kind when she refunded our taxes and took $20 off at checkout. But the bathroom wasn’t very clean, the TV didn’t work, and neither of our two rooms had hot water. At the desk, I was told Expedia wasn’t working for payment and that we had to book at the walk-in rate, which cost more. Expedia later refunded me, but the whole thing felt a bit like a bait and switch.

HORRIBLE. The “hot” water came out in such a weak trickle that taking a shower was impossible, and the bed we got felt like the cheapest cot they could find. All we wanted was a bed and a hot shower. Seems like a nice little corporate cost-cutting setup. Go farther down the road and you can pay less and actually shower.

The desk staff were nice, but the room and hotel both stank and weren’t clean. The microwave was filthy, there was an Ace bandage wrap and other stuff under the bed, and the tub was so dirty I had to put a towel down to stand on while showering. My family and I wouldn’t come back even if the room were free.

Great place, with food and gas stations quite close and grocery stores not far away. The only thing I noticed was that some rooms have all the silverware and pans you need, while others have very little. Probably just an oversight.
