The rooms are neat and clean, and the woman at the desk is kind and helpful. Prices are fair, and they’re one of the few places that allow pets. The outside and pool could use some work, but don’t let that put you off.

My S/O and I stayed for seven nights. We’d stay again, though there were more downs than ups, and you get what you pay for. When we arrived around 2:30 p.m., nothing was organized and no rooms had been cleaned yet, so they had to send someone to prepare one for us. Once it was cleaned, the room was nice and nothing was wrong with it. A few days later, we came back late and slept in because the deadbolt was locked, the way they tell you to lock it for privacy. Even so, someone knocked early in the morning asking for dirty towels. The beds are kind of hard. My back was fine since I have to sleep on a harder bed, but my boyfriend’s back was hurting pretty badly.

I stayed four nights. Trash bags were left around the property, and nothing was restocked. I spoke to the owner about a refund or discount, but he basically said I had a good rate, didn’t see the problem, and could have stayed somewhere else. Getting checked in took an hour even though I’d booked online, and I had two rooms. My non-smoking room had cigarette burns in the chair and blanket, plus roaches. The other room had beer boxes outside the door, and inside were unmade beds and trash everywhere. The office gave me another key, but that room’s door reader didn’t work. I finally got into a different room, where my guys said there were mouse droppings everywhere.

We chose The Landmark when my family and I had to leave our home for one night and needed somewhere quick and affordable. I wish I could give it zero stars. The whole experience was awful, which makes me sad because 15 years ago, when I was in high school, it was in better shape and had a decent restaurant. I arrived with my three small children and a man stared at us as we walked to the room, letting his large, unleashed pitbull follow us through the pool fence while it barked, growled, and lunged. The room was filthy as soon as we walked in, with dirt and dust covering every surface. The bathroom was disgusting, with mold in the corners and all over the tub. They don’t offer refunds, so we left to buy Lysol wipes and cleaning supplies. When we came back, I realized our side of the hotel was poorly lit and was afraid for our safety, so I asked to change rooms. I was told that wasn’t possible. The next day, while we were packing to leave, a man knocked an hour before checkout to ask if we were staying an extra day because we were “late.” We showed him our receipt, which clearly said checkout was at noon, not 11, and he left. I hope this review keeps someone else from having the same experience. Do not stay here.
