Chateau Hotel

Jennifer at the front desk went far above what she needed to do for me. I travel a lot, and I’ve never met a hotel employee who was kinder, more attentive, efficient, or easy to like. She couldn’t have been any nicer. The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were very comfortable.

The hotel was lovely, clean, smelled great, and was well cared for, with an excellent spot inside the French Quarter. Elaine was at the desk during our stay and was warm, welcoming, easy to talk with, and informative. We’d DEFINITELY stay again!

The shower pressure was so weak that a cup of water poured over you might have done more. We took really long showers just to rinse off. I didn’t bring it up during the stay since they couldn’t exactly redo the plumbing. Otherwise, it’s a lovely, clean, low frills place, and felt very safe even after dark. We were glad to have an interior courtyard view instead of a street-facing balcony, which made things a little quieter. The beds were comfy, though the pillows had seen better days. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Listen when they say to leave extra early for the airport or bring an umbrella, they know what they’re talking about. I’d take a French Quarter boutique hotel like this over a corporate high rise on Canal Street. It’s a few blocks from Bourbon, Jackson Square, and two coffee shops. There weren’t buskers around, since this area starts to get residential nearby.

The courtyard gave us the feeling of being in France or Italy, and the hotel had a nice European vibe. Our room was super clean, the staff were great, and they arranged taxi service easily. The location was quiet despite being near Royal and Bourbon, with good restaurants close by. Chateau Orleans is two blocks from Bourbon St and about as close to the streetcar line, making day trips to the Garden District and museums easy. What an amazing stay in NOLA. We’ll be back!
