Club Wyndham Avenue Plaza

We really liked our room, and it was very kind of them to let us check in early after our Mississippi cruise, so we could freshen up and deal with our luggage. Walking around the property, we were surprised by how many amenities there were: brickwork, fountains, a pool and hot tub, a full-sized fitness center, and free laundry with folding tables and chairs. There were snacks too, plus a business center with three computers and luxurious chairs and couches. All the lovely details made this a destination I’d highly recommend.

The staff were amazing, and our clean room had beds and pillows that were so comfy. We enjoyed the pool being open for such long hours. There was a hotel bar, plus an on-site restaurant and bar next door. The RTA cart picked us up right out front and took us downtown, while we left the car parked with valet. We enjoyed our stay!

The concierge were great at arranging trips and sharing useful tips. We had a lovely dinner on the steamboat with good food and music. Get there early to line up, or you’ll have to wait for the 7:45 pm seating instead of 6 pm. The Peruvian restaurant up the road was great too. Avenue Plaza had outstanding service, super comfy beds, and a great tub and pool area for relaxing and meeting fellow travelers. The bathroom was small but well appointed. A tram ride of about 15 minutes gets you to Burbon street, away from the hustle and bustle. Real customer service!

Customer service was very solid. We had our keys redone five different times, and the suite’s bathroom left a lot to be desired, with the toilet crammed into a corner and hard for people to use. One family member needed more room for physical reasons, so staff accommodated us by moving us to an ADA room, which fixed that problem.
