Inn on St Ann

I feel lucky to have stayed in such a historic place, and our visit was amazing. Duane, sorry if I’ve spelled that wrong, made us feel so welcome and was a big reason we booked St Ann’s again. We actually reserved another trip for January the day after we got home. Can’t wait!

Mr. Duane and his staff were wonderful and made me want to stay here every time. It’s an Inn rather than a hotel, and I was very happy with the accommodation. We got the best room, and it lived up to that: a fridge, coffee maker, and private balcony. I don’t think the other rooms had those, but there’s a microwave and coffee maker just inside the building. The location is PERFECT, about five minutes’ walk from everything while still far enough away to get a good night’s sleep. We’ll be back.

Dewayne was amazing and had lots of food recommendations, all of which were a hit. We could walk to Bourbon Street for the nightlife, but were far enough away that the music and noise didn’t keep us up. Our room was open and spacious. One morning we noticed a strange leak just above the foot of the bed and mentioned it around 8am as we left to explore. When we returned at noon to drop off souvenirs, they’d fixed it and changed the sheets. It didn’t happen again during our eight-day stay.

I was very disappointed. The hotel looked nice in the photos and had a high rating, but it didn’t meet our expectations. We waited three hours to check in because no one was at the front desk and no staff were available. A cleaner came by and said, “oh she’s coming in in a bit, maybe she partied last night.” Then we were given a dirty room, the first one when you come in. We could hear guests talking outside it and slamming the door loudly, on top of all the street noise. We’d booked a king bed, but the one we got wasn’t even queen sized. The stay was awful, and my poor one-year-old kept waking up because of the noise.
