The room was spacious and the location decent, but I got fed up and left early. The bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever had in a hotel, and the couch was terrible. One bedside lamp and the USB ports didn't work. Hot water stopped working the next morning. The smart TV couldn't use its apps or screen casting, only regular channels. The bathroom toilet looked like it had poop stains, too. There were people sitting outside the hotel all day. The 5th-floor ice machine was out of order, though a notice was posted in the elevator. I didn't see it until I reached the machine. Parking was either $50 for valet or $40 through their affiliates. We found a lot for $25 a night, a 10 min walk away, so I'd suggest finding your own. After all that walking, I went to the front desk for a Gatorade. A 20 oz one cost $5, and I didn't know the price until I'd paid. I also waited about 5 mins for someone to come to the desk. When I went to complain before leaving, the worker said to wait a moment and stepped away. When he came back, he asked what the complaints were, then told me I was checked out. He didn't explain what would happen about the problems or whether anything could be comped since I was leaving early. I still had the room keys and had to ask if he wanted them back. I waited for an answer about the broken things and my early departure, then he asked, "what else do you want" when I brought up being comped. He said they should contact me and it wasn't handled at the hotel. Later, I reached someone and was given a number to call, but it was the HOTEL front desk, the same place that hadn't handled it when I complained. I was offered points, which I still haven't received since I booked through the Wyndham app.

The room was spotless and nicely designed, close to attractions but still quiet at night. I also appreciated the fast Wi-Fi and complimentary breakfast. Check-in felt smooth and welcoming, with staff making an effort to help me feel at home. I was thoroughly impressed with my stay at La Quinta and will definitely come back on my next trip.

We had a really nice three-night stay, helped along by friendly, accommodating staff and a very good breakfast each day with lots of options. The room was fine, though the TV had some issues. We were on vacation away from our usual routine, so we didn't really care or make a thing of it. The hotel is two blocks from Canal Street, and most popular attractions are an easy 10-15 minute walk away. If walking is difficult for you, I'd look for somewhere closer to the French Quarter. Parking is a pain all over New Orleans, so be prepared to pay $30-50 per day if you drive. For the price and what you get, I'd definitely recommend the Laquinta.

The price and location may seem appealing, but you get what you pay for. During our 6-day stay, front desk service varied: some staff were friendly, others rude. You can check in and out online, but they don't warn you there about a “resort fee.” Our bedding and towels had stains all over them, including a giant yellow mark on one bed that I don't think is acceptable for guests. The place felt old and not very clean. The sink drained slowly, and on some mornings water came back up the drain. We were on the 11th floor and the WiFi worked badly. The pool was closed, and the snack spot downstairs wasn't very well stocked. I'd choose a different hotel for a stay of a few nights.

The staff were friendly and capable, and I felt welcome and secure. The price was quite decent for the area, and I liked the hotel's snazzy, jazzy feel. My room was clean, though the older building's carpet could use a good shampoo, so wear slippers. The hard floor was nice and clean. I would've taken a bath if I'd had the time. I was there on business and would come back with my family. I did have an A/C issue, but maintenance fixed it while I was out for the day.
