Jim was a great host and got back to us quickly when we had an issue with the dryer. The unit was just as expected, spacious, clean, and in a fabulous location. We loved staying here and look forward to booking with them again!

The owner said through the app that he would refund half of our deposit, but after returning only a very small amount, he stopped responding. It's been about a month and a half since the trip was supposed to happen, and after a lot of time spent with VRBO, it looks like we'll get stiffed. We had booked through VRBO for the first weekend of Jazz Fest 2020, but COVID-19 led to the festival's cancellation and New Orleans going into lockdown. VRBO recommended owners refund at least 50% for COVID-related cancellations but couldn't require it under their policies. The cancellation was completely beyond our control, and half our deposit was still a decent amount for the owner to keep without anyone staying in the house. Regardless of VRBO's policy, a substantial refund would have been the right thing to do. Promising one and not following through shows he isn't a man of his word. Avoid this owner.

We never stayed at the house, so I can't rate it, but the owner kept our $2,500 deposit after Jazz Fest was cancelled due to covid. VRBO's policies are partly to blame, but keeping that money without providing any services during a pandemic is awful. We hadn't cancelled the trip ourselves, and he specifically said he'd refund us because of the circumstances. Then he went back on his word when he realized VRBO's policy let him make a quick buck. Never using VRBO again, and watch out for this guy. Real class act stand up guy!

The hosts were fun and easy to deal with, and had great tips on places to eat and things to do. The stay was clean, comfortable, and nice. I can't wait to return. This is where I stay when I'm in New Orleans.
