We walked everywhere and left the car parked for our whole trip. After the first day of Jazz Fest, we walked back safely because Ubers and traffic were a nightmare everywhere. Ruby Slipper Cafe was an easy walk for breakfast or brunch, and we got coffee and pastries at Ayu Bakehouse. I recommend both. Buffa’s across the street had drinks and live music. The location really was the cherry on top, and the area felt nice, quiet, and safe. Our Frenchman Suite was huge and clean, with the best A/C I've had at any hotel, an amazing bathroom and shower, and a cozy little NOLA apartment feel. The staff were kind from check-in through check-out, and the property itself was great. We came for Jazz Fest and had a spectacular trip. Melrose Mansion is our forever place whenever we're in NOLA. Book it. It was worth every penny and more.

Emily and Brittany were amazing, and the rooms were spectacular. It's in a nice, quiet section and gives you the old Victorian experience you'd want. I'd give it five stars, except our freezer was frozen shut. We mentioned it on the last day, so I'm sure they'll fix it. My wife was also a little disappointed by the breakfast selection. We'd definitely stay again.

Emily really knows the city inside and out. Her suggestions were great, and she even printed out lists, which made our visit easy. The building is gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful, and the free breakfast was great. Can't wait to come back!

I love this hotel. The property is beautiful, and Emily checked us in with such good energy and attitude that it set a great tone for the stay. Our AC issue was sorted out within a few hours, and every staff member I met was friendly. It's in a nice neighborhood, so the car should be fine. We could hear people at the bar next door because our room faced the street, though I imagine the noise depends on which room you're in. My one suggestion is to put bottled water in the rooms. Still, it was a great weekend getaway.

It felt like a home away from home. The location was the best, with Frenchman street a 6-minute walk and the quarter 10 minutes away. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Check-in and check-out were easy. Breakfast and morning coffee were a nice touch, and for the price, you really can't beat it. 10/10, I recommend melrose mansion.
