NOPSI Hotel, New Orleans

We were disappointed by the rooftop bar. We’d been looking forward to drinks there, but the music was extremely loud and the atmosphere felt out of place in an upscale hotel, quite the opposite of upscale. The space itself is beautiful, though, and we would have liked to spend time there. Instead, we sat in the courtyard with several other groups who seemed to be looking for something more in keeping with the hotel’s ambience. With a more refined feel, the rooftop could be one of the hotel’s best features. The property was clean, beautiful, and well maintained. Our bartenders and lunch server were phenomenal, and the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. The shower had great pressure, the AC worked perfectly, and both the room and bathroom were very spacious.

The rooftop pool was a lovely bonus, especially for a summer visit, and we really enjoyed eating at Public Service. There are also plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. The hotel sits a few blocks from the French Quarter, close enough to get around easily but removed from much of the noise and crowds. Everyone on staff was kind and helpful. I work in travel and can be picky about hotels, but I’d happily recommend this one.

The staff were wonderful, and they even sent a bottle of champagne to our room as a thank-you. We had a spacious room and bathroom, a very comfortable bed, and the best night's sleep I've had in ages. The rooftop bar was nice too. Such a gorgeous hotel. I'd gladly stay again and recommend it.

I first stayed here in May 2025 and left a review on the hotel's site, but hadn't said anything on Google. I'm back to say it's still one of the best hotel stays I've ever had. The NOPSI is an easy walk from lots of places, and pizza luna is nearby with great pizza that doesn't cost much. What really stands out is the staff. Every person we met was helpful and polite, and seemed to care about making our stay a good one. They set a high bar, and now I compare other places I stay with this experience.
