The Chloe has spoiled me. I don't think I can stay anywhere else when I visit NOLA. I spent my 40th birthday there with my three best friends, and it became my favorite birthday ever. The whole visit was one wow after another, and the gorgeous decor, historic character, warmth, and charm made it feel special. The staff were the biggest reason we remember it so fondly. Maria, Michael, Stefan, and Vinny were superstars who made us feel cared for and went the extra mile each time. Everyone gave five-star service. The restaurant was exquisite, from the decor and service to the food. We loved it enough to go back two nights later. Thanks for such a memorable, life-changing experience!

For a rate above $900 a night, I expected comfort and careful service. Instead, the stay felt noisy, inconvenient, poorly maintained, and uncomfortable. The stale beer smell lingered in parts of the building, and dim hallways and common areas made it hard to see. I had to use my phone flashlight to find my room's keyhole. Noise carried through the converted three-story residence from the downstairs bar. Our second-floor room was away from the main stairwell, but still noisy, and the housekeeping closet across the hall brought clanging, banging, and activity through the early and mid-morning. The single elevator creaked, groaned, and rattled, while the dark, steep stairs seemed to have uncomfortable ADA-style tread and rise proportions and felt potentially unsafe. Parking was another problem. There's no dedicated facility or valet service to park your car, so guests have to hunt for street parking, which seems unacceptable at this price. Nobody helped with luggage at arrival or departure either. Room service was just as disappointing. The fries with the signature burger were limp and soggy, and the burger tasted so badly burnt that I spit it out after one bite. It was like charred carbon, not properly cooked beef. The hotel's attempt to present itself as upscale didn't match the experience. I can't recommend The Chloe to anyone looking for a true luxury stay in New Orleans.

The red-haired woman at the front desk was funny and helpful. We had a great stay with my parents. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and the whole place has a relaxed, thoughtful feel that made it special. I'd gladly come back.

We had several desserts, and the coconut cheesecake was the standout. The coconut is only on top, for anyone who doesn't love coconut, and the cheesecake has a whipped texture. The dark chocolate cake was delicious and large enough for four, while the ice cream sandwich paired a crisp, slightly salty crust with sweetness. We also tried shrimp salad, chicken katsu sandwich, butternut squash, and stuffed fish, and loved them all. The butternut squash is in the pictures below. The food was delicious across the board, and I loved the location and atmosphere, with different seating options depending on whether you want to be inside, outside, somewhere quiet, or amid more activity.

I've been to the Chloe RESTAURANT three times, for both dinner and brunch, and each visit has been amazing. The presentation gets real attention, but the flavors are what keep impressing me. I expect great gumbo in New Orleans, and this is the only place I've had it with alligator sausage. It's rich and so good. I've tried a bit of everything, from salad and vegetables to red meat, seafood, cheese, and bread, and it was all excellent. The ambience and decor are lovely too. Now I want to stay at the hotel so I can eat there more. Highly recommend.
