The room had an old-fashioned feel that was really cute. The location was great, with the trolley to Magazine Street right out front and Canal Street only a few blocks away. I also loved the keyless entry, so there was no room key to keep track of. I’d stay again.

I booked because I love the hotel’s old building, and the rooms turned out to be beautiful and comfortable. The streetcar stops right outside the front door, and there are lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance. We had a great trip!

We had such a good time here and would come back. The neighborhood was peaceful, which suited us since we’re not big party people. The location worked well, and there’s a hop-on hop-off bus stop right in front of the hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I’d read complaints that the bath towels were too small, but that didn’t seem to be true anymore.

The location is great, close to the French Quarter and plenty to do. I noticed the thin walls and could hear the streetcar outside, but it didn’t bother me personally. The balcony was nice, though very small and had no table, chairs, or anything else. Housekeeping came irregularly, and the first time they visited, they refolded our dirty towels and put them back on the bathroom shelf instead of replacing them. Getting into the hotel was exceptionally difficult. I never got the pre-check-in email that guests are supposed to receive 48 hours before arrival. When it finally came, the online identity check wouldn’t work and nobody would approve me manually. I spent about two hours calling for help and getting sent the same failing link again and again. Once we got there, the room also wasn’t the one I booked. It was supposed to have two beds but had only one. It wasn’t a bad hotel, but I didn’t get the experience I paid for.
