This was my second time staying here when visiting New Paltz, and it’s my first choice. Pablo was a kind, welcoming host, and I had a very enjoyable stay. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I liked having snacks available anytime. There are two adorable cats outside who love being petted, a nice treat if you’re an animal person. Thank you!

Pablo makes the house feel warm, clean, safe, and comfortable. My partner and I loved our stay, especially the amazing sauna. It’s close to downtown New Paltz but far enough out to be quiet and secluded. Such a lovely hidden gem. Highly recommend!

The bedroom suites were beautifully spacious, clean, and had super soft beds. Breakfast was great, and the tea, water, fruit, and muffins were fresh, tasty, and available whenever we needed them. I loved the property, and when I accidentally locked myself out, Pablo was there to help. My only complaint was the neighbors being really loud last night and lacking decorum.

Pablo is a kind, decent owner, and the house itself is beautiful. The upper rooms have interior balconies overlooking the dining room, while the outside windows face green landscaping. It’s in a semi-rural residential area about two miles from downtown New Paltz. The setting has potential, but the online listing is inaccurate: Moondance Ridge B&B is now a Guest House with continental breakfast, not a B&B as it was under the previous owner. There’s good coffee, fresh fruit, and an orange juice maker, but the rest is cereal, bagels, store-bought pastries, sugary yogurt cups, and instant oatmeal packets. I would have rated the location highly if there were nearby restaurants for a good breakfast. The mattresses are extra firm and unusually high, about 34 inches off the floor. My wife needed a chair to climb into bed, then moved to the extra couch bed for safety and a more comfortable night. Hot water stopped working after our first evening. Pablo couldn’t fix it and kindly refunded the second night so we could stay elsewhere. A previous review mentioned the same recurring problem. He should change the listing to Guest House, improve breakfast a little, lower the beds, and fix the hot water.

The view of the Shawangunk Mountains is lovely, and New Paltz is just a few minutes away by car. The inn sits in a park-like setting, with a fireplace, exposed beams, and a vaulted ceiling that gave it more of a lodge feel. Our cozy bedroom suite was welcoming, the decor was top notch, and the beds were super comfortable. The complimentary continental breakfast was just right, with mini muffins, bagels, cereal, and oranges for fresh squeezing. The kids enjoyed that.
