The breakfast might have been decent if it had been warm. They had waffles, roasted potatoes, biscuits, fried eggs, and sausage one morning and ham the next, but the warmers were off or set so low that everything was cold. When I tried to turn one up, the woman got mad and said that’s what the microwave was for. There was no AC in the halls, and with the southern humidity and the room’s air, the uncarpeted entry area got wet and slippery. The room itself smelled like mold. Towels were thin and scratchy, and one was stained. The beds only had sheets, with no blankets or comforters in the room or drawers. While searching the drawers, we found two bags of old cereal. There was just one small trash can, in the bathroom, and the remote still didn’t work even after I got batteries from the front desk. We were told the elevator wasn’t working, though there were no signs about it. The ice machine on the second floor was out, and the same junk stayed on the stairwell floor for all three days. The regular side doors wouldn’t work with our cards, leaving the stairwell door open to the public the whole time. From the outside, it seems like a nice, modern place, and the people are nice, too. Beyond that, I’m not sure I’d recommend staying here. It depends on what else is available. Some fresh paint and better management would help.

A decent, basic place to rest and recharge. The rooms are fairly spacious and weren’t dirty, though they could’ve been cleaner. Staff at the front desk were friendly. Breakfast choices were limited, but what was available was decent.

We’ve booked here three times now and will keep recommending it. The location is great, the rooms are clean, and the hotel is beautiful. Mr. Willie helped right away with every question or concern I had. Breakfast was fresh and fully stocked each morning, and the staff were amazing.

We checked out on the morning of 02/02/2025, then went down for breakfast while my husband took our bag to the car. Several employees were sitting around socializing. The previous evening, after our event, we returned to find a “do not disturb” card on the handle. Our key worked, but the bed was unmade, so we went to the front desk. Once a staff member came over, we were given another room. We’d checked in around 2 pm on 2/01/2025 and hadn’t left our bags because we were heading to the event. The room should’ve been cleaned better for guests coming and going every night.

I booked this Best Western for my twins’ baseball tournament in a nearby city, and we arrived around 9:30 pm after the games. In room 120, there was a musty odor as soon as we walked in. Even my 9-year-olds noticed it, so I sprayed Lysol, hoping it would help. My son has asthma and complained about the smell after going into the bathroom. I went in and saw the ceiling covered in black mold. The Sheetrock looked wet and was sagging, clearly from a leak, and there was water damage at the entrance, too. I showed the front desk pictures and reported that we couldn’t tolerate the odor or risk more exposure. He said they hadn’t known about all the problems when they acquired the property, and other rooms might be affected. There were no other rooms available, and he said he couldn’t comp ours, so I’d need to speak with a manager on Monday. With the tournament going on, nearby hotels were full. We had to find one over 30 miles away for $334. I told the front desk we were leaving, and we got to the other hotel at 11:30 pm, tired and hungry after a long day. Best Western needs to do better. This was not the Best!
