Moontide B103

Our baseball team came from California for a tournament, and the whole group loved staying at Moontide. It's right along the ocean, and they provide the equipment you need to enjoy the beach. The customer service and hospitality were great. We'll stay here from now on when we're in town for baseball. Thanks to John, Veronica, and Melanie for a great experience.

Great accommodations, with beautiful sunrise views.

The rooftop pool and its amazing view were a bonus. Our condo had an oceanfront view, plenty of space, was well stocked, and very clean. The staff also communicated well before check-in about the construction. It's in a beach area where driving on the beach isn't allowed.

The beach, weather, and staff were great, and the staff was gracious when we raised the issue. They revised the balance due, which made the bitter taste of the miscommunication more palatable. Stuff happens, just roll with it. I changed my rating from 1 star to 3. Apparently, guests who reserve at least 60 days in advance get an email outlining the construction, but we and others hadn't booked that far ahead and didn't receive it. The website now mentions the work too, saying, “Concrete Restoration is taken place on site at Moontide.” We were in unit 205 of A bldg. It had a nice patio directly facing the ocean, but we couldn't use it from 8am, when workers arrived, until 4pm, when they left. They were repairing or replacing stucco, with lots of hammering and chipping. We had to close the blinds for privacy, and the noise was so bad that we had to turn the TV all the way up to hear the news before going out. We just left and hoped to sit on the patio after 4. There was no mention of the work on the website when we booked weeks earlier. When we went to shower before heading out for the day, we couldn't find the towels. They were in the dryer. The unit was nice, but there was no warning about the construction or that the balcony couldn't be used between 8am-4pm. We've had the bad luck of finding beachfront condo construction only after arriving before, including at a condo on Hilton Head Island a couple of years ago.
