If all you want is the beach, the location works pretty well. I stayed for 11 days and never got a spot by the pool, because every deck chair was already claimed by 7 each morning, even though many sat empty until 10. Signs clearly say you can’t save chairs or tables. When I asked the maintenance crew about it, I got cussed out. The courtyard is nice, but it gets packed with other people’s loud music in the daytime and pot smoke at night. My AirBNB hosts were super kind, but completely ineffective. I guess I went too low rent this time, and I’ll look somewhere nicer next time. I won’t rent here again.

My wife and I got married on the beach in front of these condos ten years ago, and we came back this month to redo our sand ceremony for our anniversary. This really is our happy place, and Arney does a great job taking care of what you need. We were a bit confused by a new policy about reserving the gas grill through Memorial Day weekend because it was so busy this year. Luckily, everyone was accommodating, and people shared the grill when we needed more room. It all worked out, and we’ll keep coming back year after year.

I’ve been coming to Point East since I was a kid in the early ’80s. It’s nice to occasionally run into people I knew from those summer stays. The condos feel cozy, and the complex has a bit of a Melrose Place feel. After staying in quite a few units over the years, Unit 211 is my favorite. It’s sheltered from direct wind and sun but still has a great view of the pool and beach. It’s been updated several times and always feels like home.

We had a great ocean view from our third-floor condo. The staff were pleasant, and the pool was nice and heated.

This was our second stay in a condo rented from a private owner. It’s right on the non-driving section of the beach, and the morning sunrises are amazing. We’ll stay here again.
