Sea Vista Resort And Tiki Bar

I ended up having a great stay at Sea Vista, and I’ll come back. I spend a lot of time in New Smyrna with my kids and fishing, live about 39 minutes away, and pass Sea Vista every time I go there, twice a week. The room was cute and clean, and I only needed it for sleeping. It’s right on the beach, with a sandbox in the middle, a quiet pool, a nice tiki bar, and stairs down to the beach. Walking there at night was beautiful, especially with your significant other. I booked last minute for a Sunday night. At $154 total it was pricier than I expected for a Sunday, but the cheapest around, and it turned out to be a great choice. Nice spot, check it out.

I stopped in for one drink around 1pm today, coming from the beach. I handed the bartender $50, but she insisted I’d given her a $20. If the register is over by $30 today, then I was right. I won’t be back. The place also wasn’t the kind of beach bar I’m used to.

The food was a pleasant surprise. I had a mahi salad and my husband got a blackened grouper sandwich. We can’t stand old, fishy fish, but both dishes were mild and flavorful. The bar staff were helpful and friendly at this nice patio by the beach. The listed drinks are pricey and mostly filler, so skip those. I held back the fifth star because there’s nothing “tiki” about the place beyond its name.

We came in from the Beach side and split a massive Chicken Philly at this cute little place. The adult beverages were delicious too. We’ll be back to watch the sunrise.
