Hampton Inn & Suites Pittsburgh New Stanton

The newer Hilton TV system is a big improvement over what Hilton had before, and breakfast was very good. Our room was immaculate. What I ask most is that staff be welcoming and polite, and everyone was. Hampton Inns are my Little Engine That Could, and this location is a good example of a hotel performing at a high-end level. I’ll stay here again on my next road trip. If you have a problem they can’t satisfy you about, you’re the problem.

The gym and the indoor and outdoor lounging areas are really nice. The place is very clean and quiet, and looks like it’s been renovated. I hadn’t stayed here in years, so it was good to see it keeping up with the times. My one reason for four stars is that they removed wired internet from the rooms. That matters when I’m working from a hotel, and Ethernet options still seem to be available across the brand.

The gym’s hours work well for late-night or early workouts, from 6am to 12am. Rooms were very clean and breakfast had a solid selection. Surely the nicest hotel around here.

I was passing through and needed somewhere to sleep, so I booked one night. The location is great, but cleaning was subpar, with hair and dirt left behind. After reading the reviews, I expected better. The online listing said the rooms were updated, but maybe that was true ten years ago. I’ll be skipping this place for a looooong time.
