The bar and restaurant were closed, and breakfast was a joke. The staff seemed indifferent and barely acknowledged guests; they weren’t helpful. Everything felt rundown and depressing, and maintenance clearly wasn’t a priority. The room was filthy, from marks all over the walls to grime in the shower and mold in the bathroom corners. The sheets didn’t feel clean, and the room smelled bad, like it hadn’t been aired out in weeks. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. You couldn’t pay me to come back.

My husband and I came from out of state to visit family after the holiday, and there’s almost nothing positive I can say about this place. The staff were polite, if not very helpful, but none of our complaints were addressed while we were there. I paid double the room rate for a private jetted tub because of mobility issues and the larger tub, but when we turned it on, brown flaky gunk came back into the water. The bed was broken: if you got in on one side, the aluminum slat under the thin mattress caved in and rattled loudly. Mold was coming through a split in the bathroom ceiling. A smoke alarm had been pulled from the wall, leaving wires exposed, and the heater/AC buttons had been scraped or chewed off so we couldn’t adjust the temperature. The hallway ice machine was broken, the hall smelled of cigarettes, and the carpet was wet and springy in places. No breakfast was offered. I was still charged for the one night we stayed. The manager said he was doing me a favor by adjusting the charge to one night because I’d booked three, but said he couldn’t cancel it since it was made through a third party. This place needs a health and safety review.

For an inexpensive stay, this met all my expectations. I spent over 30 years in planes, rental cars, and hotels on a generous expense account, but now I’m paying my own way. The room was clean, and Stephany, the housekeeper, is a gem. The new fridge and microwave were good, and the internet worked well and was secure. It’s being rehabbed, and they’re doing a good job. Sure, you can nitpick any place. If you want fancier, pay for it. There’s no restaurant, breakfast is limited, and the coffee is good. The elevator was inconveniently located and had been out of service all last month, but the kind manager will carry bags if needed. All rooms are up or down from the front desk. Good restaurants are nearby, and the location is convenient. It’s pet-friendly. My photos show a roof leak capture, the closed bar/restaurant, and the “gym.” Thank you, come again!

The front desk staff were kind and check-in was easy, though they were a little hard to understand at times. We picked this place because it was $75 a night, but it felt worth $50 or less. The room seemed generally clean at first, but there was a used soap bar on the shower shelf, and what looked like vomit stains ran down the mattress and box frame on the bed closest to the bathroom on the left. The beds were okay to sleep on, and we checked for bed bugs but didn’t find any. Exposed plug outlets seemed like a potential fire hazard, and there were several other damages in the room, including a bathroom door that looked kicked or punched from inside. The AC worked pretty well overnight. Breakfast was very skimpy: cereal but no milk, waffles, no juice because the machine was broken, and coffee without creamer. The pool was empty and out of order. The outside and inside looked very rundown, and the outdoor trash cans were overflowing, as if they hadn’t been emptied in a long time. We stopped here overnight while driving home. The front staff were good apart from being hard to understand.

This was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. The bathroom had black mold, the outlets didn’t work, and the microwave was broken and smelled moldy. The desk clerk was rude and wouldn’t answer questions. I left the next morning, and the checkout guy said I hadn’t been in the room I’d stayed in all night and had the number wrong. I showed him my key card with the room number on it. I can’t believe my company recommended this place. Breakfast was stale cereal and two loaves of bread with jars of jelly and peanut butter. Stay away!
