Aliz Hotel Times Square

The view from our room on the 38th floor was breathtaking, and the room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained. The beds and bathroom were clean and organized, and everything felt high quality. Internet access worked very well, too. We could leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out, which meant we could enjoy the city without worrying about our bags. The location is right in the heart of the city, close to everything. We walked to Times Square and other nearby attractions instead of needing an Uber. All the staff were kind, polite, and helpful from the moment we arrived. For the dates we needed, Aliz was a great find and the price was amazing for what we got. The service, atmosphere, cleanliness, and convenience exceeded our expectations and made our New York trip more special. I'd definitely stay again and recommend it to friends and family. I absolutely loved it, 10/10.

The lounge and restaurant on the 40th and 41st floors are amazing, with indoor and outdoor areas, top-tier food and drinks, and decor featuring powerful women icons and iconic male artists from the 20th century. The sultry, sexy, smooth look sets the tone. The restaurant manager and staff are beautiful, and the lobby bar is cute and fun. It's a class act, and if I had an event to throw, I'd choose this spot in a heartbeat. The hotel lobby desk Steph and everyone are amazing too. I worked an event here, and this is the place to go whether you're visiting or live here.

We'd definitely stay again. The Aliz is clean, has a modern feel, and is ideally situated near Times Square with plenty of subway stops nearby. We took the Jamaican train and subway from JFK, and it arrived on the same street as the hotel, which was a huge relief. The staff were warm and welcoming, and breakfast had plenty of choice. The young woman who cleaned our room was exceptional and very sweet, and Tiffany, I think that was her name, was very helpful at reception when we checked in. Our deposit was back in the bank the evening we arrived home, despite the bad reviews about it. Brandon made my husband's birthday extra special with a banner, balloons, and an amazing view from our room. One small downside was the foyer: it was quite small, with only a few seats, and we wished there were more space to have a drink and relax. We could never sit for a drink and had to go up to our room every evening. Also, the rooftop bar is open to the public, and on several occasions we found its clientele, outsiders staying elsewhere, quite rude when sharing the lift. They acted as if we were lower class, which made us feel like we shouldn't be there. They don't seem to realize that the hotel has families and couples who have come to enjoy their break. We spoke to a few couples who sadly felt the same.

We were there for one night with my boyfriend on a business trip. The location is great and convenient, but a strong marijuana smell throughout the hotel made us uncomfortable, and our clothes still smelled of it afterward. We had planned another business stay in June but canceled because of the odor. If you're sensitive to smoke or dislike the smell of marijuana, this may not be the right place for you.
