Aloft by Marriott Harlem

I stayed here for two weeks during a home renovation and was extremely pleased. The location is amazing, the rooms are clean, and there's a complimentary tea and coffee station, free breakfast bagels, and a nice entertainment and lobby bar area. The staff were always pleasant and extremely helpful. My only comment is that the pillows aren't the best, lol. I'd 100% recommend it to anyone visiting NY or needing a staycation.

We were in the heart of Harlem, with a spacious room and staff who were really nice and accommodating. The hall was clean and smelled fresh, though the shower could've been cleaner, so bring shower shoes. There was no iron or ironing board in the room, but the steamer did what we needed. The location is perfect, and I felt safe walking around. People are out on the streets all night, and locals don't approach you. It's very convenient for the A express train and the M60 bus, which goes right to LGA airport and can save you an $80 Uber ride. I'd definitely stay again if I'm back in NY.

The room had a fridge, and guests could use a microwave too, so my NYC leftovers didn’t go to waste. I was back in New York from South Carolina for my birthday and staying at Aloft Harlem made the trip feel a bit like coming home. The room was cozy, the location was close to everything, and the staff were so friendly. There was a salsa 💃 party at the bar on Friday. I was in my room when it started and couldn’t hear the music, but I went down to check it out anyway! When I checked out, one of the customer service reps even waited with me for my Uber to the airport to make sure I was safe. Such lovely hospitality, I’ll definitely come back 😊

The shower was excellent, and the room was clean and in good shape. Staff were friendly, too. It was the least expensive well-rated place I found on the Upper West Side. Harlem sure has changed since I was young in the 70s.
