Cresthaven Inn JFK

We spent a week at Cresthaven and didn’t have a single complaint. It was spotless and had no bad odors, with snacks available, good maid service, a comfortable bed, parking, and a shower that felt great. The staff gave lovely service, especially Latisha and Richard, who made us feel welcome. Can’t wait to stay again.

We stay here whenever we visit NYC. It’s a simple place with what you need, and the rooms are clean. There’s a small parking lot, which is a bonus, though you might not find a space when it’s busy. The AC is a bit old and doesn’t work at 100%, but it’s not terrible. The metro is about a 15-minute walk, nice in summer. It works well for two people who want to save some money, sleep, and head out, though I’m not sure it’s ideal for families with kids. Some guests smoke and seem a bit odd. Prices have gone up lately, which I don’t like, but compared with nearby hotels and what you get, it’s still good. Nothing fancy.

The room was clean and reasonably priced by NYC standards, and the staff were welcoming. It’s close to bus and subway stops, handy for getting around, while still being a way to escape the city chaos. After walking around NYC all day, I loved the complimentary hot chocolate. I wish they had a water refill station, though. Our key cards stopped working a couple of times, but staff fixed them quickly. A nice stay overall.

Really friendly staff, and the place was super clean. It’s in a decent residential neighborhood, and I’d stay again. You can hear a train horn now and then, and sometimes other guests let their doors slam, but it wasn’t a major issue. One small thing: the complimentary coffee is kept behind the front desk, which feels weird. I’d recommend it.
