Days Inn by Wyndham Brooklyn

Parking was first come, first served, and we had trouble finding a spot on the hotel premises. The room was very small for a double, and when we arrived it didn't look clean, so I had to ask housekeeping to clean it again before we could settle in. After that, the stay was okay. Breakfast was good and the location was okay, but I didn't feel the price was worth it. I won't stay there again.

We refused to stay and went to a much cleaner, nicer hotel in Times Square for the same $250. This place was worse than other bad hotels I've been to, and the guy was rude and wouldn't refund our money. When we arrived, people who looked like drug addicts were hanging around outside, and they spent nearly 15 minutes trying to find my reservation. We were given a smoking floor even though I hadn't requested one, and the smoke smell from the elevator was overpowering. The room was tiny and outdated, the door looked as if someone had tried to break in and barely locked, and the tub was dirty with hair in it. Never again.

They had no room for us despite our reservation, then gave us a random room number to check. It was disgusting, with food trash everywhere, unmade bedding, and a messy bathroom. The strong smell of cleaning chemicals was all over the place, and I can't imagine sleeping in it. We were glad to make the calls needed to get our money back.

The room was sweltering. The AC stayed at 83 degrees, kept shutting off, and wouldn't go lower. We had booked a queen, but it was the smallest one we'd ever seen, though reasonably comfortable. The tub looked like it had never been scrubbed properly, and after they told us checkout was 11 a.m., housekeeping knocked at 8:45 yelling, “check out!” We were desperate for sleep, which may be the only reason to book here. My wife and I stayed on the 4th of July because the music outside our house was unbearable after the Dominicans moved in. The hotel normally costs $150 a night, but charged us $253. The halls smelled of tobacco and the elevators of weed. The reception couple had thick accents that made them hard to understand, but they were somewhat decent.
