Days Inn by Wyndham New York Chinatown

The room is beautiful, the location lovely, and the atmosphere gentle. I’m enjoying my stay and glad I chose this good-value hotel, especially because of the people working here. Kismat/Kris treated me with compassion, humility, and respect. He’s kind, takes his work seriously, and is extremely accommodating. My stay is more about how people treat me than how fancy a room is, and I truly appreciate meeting someone like him. God bless you Kismat, and keep doing what you’re doing. Update: I extended my stay again, and all the staff have been friendly, efficient, and accommodating. Room 1301 has the floor to itself at night because the other floor space is used for breakfast and storage. Ask for it if you want great views and a floor to yourself, but expect elevator noise and breakfast guests going back and forth from 6-9am, which can make sleeping in tough. It gets a little noisy here and there during the day, but is pretty quiet around midnight or 7am. The hotel has four rooms per floor and a bit of a hostel feel, though it wasn’t very loud. My main complaint is the temperature: no thermostat setting made the room feel warmer than 65°, even after trying every setting. I understand the reason might be the small floor plan, but please raise it to at least 70°. Not everyone likes a cool breeze, so be ready to bundle up and use the blankets. I stayed during the 1-24/25-2026 snow and ice storm, so it was still better than 26° outside. It’s reasonably priced and I’d recommend it, and may return, though probably in summer.

The Chinatown location makes it easy to get around, and the rooms are modern and clean. Staff are kind and quick to bring extra items when I ask. I’ve stayed here a couple of times, and it’s become my go-to hotel for NYC.

It’s a convenient place to stay while exploring Chinatown, with decent service. The rooms are quite basic, about two stars, but I’m giving the stay four overall because it’s practical and straightforward for this area. Good enough if you mainly need somewhere to sleep while you spend your time out and about.
