My brother and I ordered their “famous” burgers, truffle mac and cheese, fries, and hood fried wings. The burgers tasted like cardboard, and like what I imagine feet would taste like. The fries were soggy and tasted like nothing I’d had before. The wings were soggy and tasteless too. They could easily have been frozen and microwaved, though I’ve had frozen wings that were amazing by comparison. The food was probably some of the worst I’ve had in years. It wasn’t easy for me to leave such a poor review since I rarely do, but this place was that bad. I’ll never order from here again, and hope I don’t get sick from the few bites I ate. Consumers beware.

The chicken in the soul platter was not chicken, the catfish fingers weren’t catfish, and the mac and cheese had a strange aftertaste. I spent $22 bucks on old food, with a horrible ambience, and now feel nauseous. There was black stuff floating in my water, too. I’m trying to post a photo of the food and chicken. I’d noticed celebrities had been there before, but that was in 2006. I’d never seen anyone inside when walking past, but decided to support the place and regret it. I left about 10 minutes ago and would not go there.

A pleasant unexpected find, with $10 meals at a soul food restaurant. My ribs and greens were good, but the mac and cheese, though it looked nice, was doughy. It stays open late, and there’s a club next door with a bar and live entertainment. I need to check that out too. I’ll visit again.
