Galaxy Motel

The location is good, with lots of places to eat nearby and easy transportation. The room would get a 4 if not for the blanket having a couple of holes and the need for more pillows. The parking lot entrance is too narrow.

The room itself looked nice, but it was dirty. The floor looked like it hadn't been swept in two weeks, the refrigerator and microwave were awful, and the sheets had hair on them. I told the front desk, and the guy said I'd have to wait until the cleaning crew came in at 8:30pm. We went to the store and bought supplies, then wiped everything down except the floor. The cleaning staff aren't doing a good job keeping the rooms clean.

The rooms were disgusting, and the place was very dirty and run down. It smelled of smoke and narcotics. This hotel used to be a shelter for the homeless and is used by local ladies of the night. Don't trust the fake ratings. There is no dining or breakfast option, and no room service. Beware!

Galaxy Motel has raised its prices and suddenly stopped taking debit cards, even when you show ID. We came in today after staying before, and this is now part of the new policy. I tried the ATM, but it didn't work and I was charged $140. The front desk person was dismissive about the charge and the inconvenience of waiting. He showed no empathy and offered no help while we waited, exhausted. No one was called to assist, and we were just told to wait with no explanation. The person behind the desk went back to playing on his phone.
