Harlem Grand

We enjoyed the stay, and I really liked the room's vintage look and pretty decor. But the price felt too high for what we got, especially with the condition of the bathroom. We stayed five days, and for four of them the tub was clogged, so we had to put up with cold showers or standing water. It was hard to shower, and the bathroom badly needs renovating. Keylen greeted us warmly and explained everything we needed to know. She said to message if we needed anything, but only replied once and then went quiet, which was a bit disappointing. The place needs a full renovation.

The brownstone's charm and comfort made my stay at HARLEM GRAND feel special. I was stressed about the task ahead when I arrived, and Kellyn, the owner, was so gracious and quick to answer my questions. The room was spotless, roomy, cozy, and peaceful. From the bedding and lights to the fixtures, layout, and shower curtains, Kellyn had clearly paid attention to every detail. I stayed 9/22/24-9/27/24. The place combines classic architecture with modern comforts, including high ceilings, beautiful woodwork, and stylish decor. It's on a quiet, tree-lined street, with Harlem's restaurants, arts, culture, and public transportation a short walk away. Mariela, the housekeeper, deserves a thank you as well. The room was always clean, and her care and pride in her work helped create such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Her hard work made a real difference to my stay. I left NYC feeling restored, uplifted, and cared for. This BnB is a gem in a historic, culturally rich neighborhood, and I can't wait to return. Thank you, Kellyn and Mariela. The rooms were spacious and nice, with really comfortable mattresses and good laundry service. The bathroom could use renovation, and we often heard other guests in nearby rooms. The woman who checked us in, whether she was the owner or property manager, seemed fine. She explained how to get around and what to do. We booked late, so this was one of the few Manhattan hotels left. I didn't feel great about the location and thought the area was pretty dangerous, so we tried not to return after 9 p.m. At a lower price I'd recommend staying here. If you book early at this rate, there are better hotels and locations in Manhattan.

The location felt very safe to us, though, as anywhere, it's good to stay aware of your surroundings. Getting around was easy: the A train is right there and can take you anywhere in the city. The host was so sweet and helpful with directions around NYC, and the rooms were beautiful, clean, and quiet. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!
