Henn na Hotel New York

Even with all its futuristic design and seamless technology, what stood out most at Henn na Hotel New York was the staff's humanity. As a Genius Level 3 traveler who's stayed in hotels around the world, I found it truly special. Our young child became ill just before we were due to return to Ukraine. With the ongoing war and daily shelling, the airspace is closed, leaving us with an exhausting 48-hour journey by air and land. We urgently needed somewhere safe for our child to rest before that difficult trip. The hotel was fully booked, yet management showed such empathy and solidarity by giving us a late checkout at no extra charge. Those extra hours of rest mattered so much to our child. We're deeply grateful for their kindness and support during such a stressful time for our family. In the middle of all that automation, Henn na Hotel showed it has a very human soul. Truly a world-class stay in every sense.

Jennifer made a real difference during my stay. She was warm, helpful, and great with customers. It was my first time at Henn na Hotel, and I had a really good time. The place was clean and comfortable, and check-in was easy. Getting around was simple too, with Liberty Bagels, the Javits Convention Center, and the subway all a short walk away. The 8th floor has free filtered water. Booking direct is a good idea for the price and loyalty program. I’d happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting NYC. 1705

Clean and convenient, so we’d pick this place again if we return to NYC. Our five-day stay was mostly good, though the water heater broke and we had cold showers on two of those days. The hotel took the initiative to refund the room rate for one of the nights.

The street noise was the one real downside for me. In a front-facing room, you can hear a lot at night because the windows are thin, including the trash collection trucks. Cheap earplugs should help, and then the stay could be 💯. I spent three nights here and would gladly come back. The location is great, less than a 10 minute walk from the Amtrak station. The front desk staff were pleasant, and Maria, the cleaner, was a joy to greet each morning. The Japanese bidet was a pleasure to use too. The bed was comfortable, the thermostat worked accurately, and I loved the “luggage jail” for bags. There aren’t extra cups in the bathroom or little toiletries, though I’m sure you can ask the front desk for more cups.
