Crowne Plaza JFK Airport New York City

My flight was canceled, so I ended up here. It's also used by flight crews. The room was basic but comfortable, with a nest of pillows that had me sleeping like a log. The staff were super helpful and friendly, and there's a free shuttle, though breakfast isn't included. If your room faces west, it gets hot in the afternoon, and being by the expressway can mean noise at night. The hotel seems around 10 to 12 years old, and I think they're doing a good job for its age. It's an acceptable place near the airport.

We were sent here after a major flight delay, and my call to arrange the shuttle ended with the person hanging up on me. The room felt cheaply put together. The bathroom sliding door was broken and screeched when we tried to close it, some walls were clearly left unfinished, and the coffee machine didn't work. Being right beside the highway made the room very loud. The restaurant's menu is small and unimpressive, but still very expensive, and there's no free breakfast. I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here.

The staff were helpful and friendly, and pointed me toward nearby restaurants that deliver. My room was clean and didn't smell at all. I didn't try the restaurant because I wasn't brave enough to go in 15 minutes before closing. There was construction during my stay, so I didn't get the full experience. Maybe next time. For a quick sleep before a flight, it works well, with FREE JFK shuttles.

After our airline let us down, we were given a room here. Even though it was late, the staff were friendly and got us settled quickly. The room was clean and comfortable, if a little small. It's convenient for JFK, though the highway side gets noisy. We had a hearty breakfast in the downstairs restaurant before leaving. I'd recommend it.
