The beds could have been more comfortable, my mom said, since she noticed lumps in parts of her mattress. Even so, whenever we stay in this part of town again, we’ll pick Kixby every time. I came back to NYC as an adult after last visiting when I was 11, and stayed at Kixby from Feb 13-16. I was excited but anxious after reading countless reviews. The staff were warm and welcoming to my mother and me. Our room had two double beds, so there was plenty of space. We loved the blue walls and light fixture, which gave it an elegant feel. The huge bathroom made me feel like I could pamper myself at home while on vacation, something you don’t see as often in NYC hotels. My mom enjoyed the hotel’s indoor restaurant. Just a couple steps away were some amazing Japanese restaurants. At one, I had the best tofu and hot pot of my life, and I’m not even a tofu girly. The workout and coffee rooms were clean and well stocked. There were Peloton bikes in the workout room, and several coffee stations in the coffee room, along with different waters. The flavored mango water was delicious. They even have a book club. A subway station is less than two minutes from the hotel and can take you anywhere you want to go. If you’re hesitant, just go for it. This is the place to stay!

Coming back from day trips and being greeted by José was lovely. He and another staff member helped us figure out a way to get to Jersey Shore. Everyone on staff was lovely, and the rooms were very comfortable. I’d heard horror stories about NYC rooms, but we were pleasantly surprised. My travel agent from virgin recommended this hotel, and I’m so glad I listened. Everything was amazing, especially having water and coffee machines available at any time. I didn’t know there was a restaurant next door until our last day. I’m from the UK and have fallen in love with both the city and the hotel. I hope to return at the end of the year. Thank you, José, for making us feel so welcome!

The hotel was central to my office, and I felt safe walking to and from it in the morning and at night. My second-floor room faced 35th Street, but the noise never got excessive, which was a nice surprise. The room and bathroom were both a great size and very clean. The lobby felt warm and welcoming, and the attached restaurant had great food. I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which was amazing. They gave me a water bottle at check-in, and on the second floor there was flavored water, coffee, tea, and a computer to use. I put out the Do Not Disturb sign and got a text saying they’d seen it. They also offered to arrange for the cleaning team to come back later if I texted them. A nice touch. I loved staying at the Kixby, would highly recommend it, and will definitely stay here on my next visit.

The bathrooms were a little small, but perfectly adequate, with plenty of towels and nice body and hair wash products. The second-floor coffee and water service was a real treat. The rooms were spacious, clean, modern, and had excellent facilities. After researching where to stay in New York, I found the Kixby hotel and read all the excellent reviews. It turned out to be a gem, and the reviews were well deserved. From the lovely Grace at check-in to everyone else we met, the staff were attentive, extremely pleasant, and professional. The penthouse floor gives you a great, up-close view of the Empire State Building. The location is excellent, close to Macy’s and some delicious Korean food, and I’ll absolutely stay here again. Grace and the rest of the team provided excellent customer service. The room was spacious for a NYC hotel, and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had lovely toiletries. Since it’s close to Broadway, you should expect the soundtrack of NYC. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. On the second floor there was complimentary coffee, tea, water in sparkling, flavored, and regular varieties, plus snacks. We also got a complimentary water bottle.
