It's basically a hostel setup with private rooms. George was accommodating during our one-night stay in January 2024, after our study abroad in Europe and before our final flight home to Houston. For the price, there's good value and a decent location. The experience, location, and uniqueness earn five stars from me, though in practical terms I'd call it more like three. You need patience and a willingness to have an adventure with all sorts of people. If you're after luxury, perfect privacy, or hosts who never have any quirks, this won't be for you. The owner may be autistic.

The location wasn't bad, but the place left us uncomfortable. I got a guru-like vibe from the owner, and it didn't feel like a typical B&B. It seemed to me that George was pushing veganism on guests. I smoked outside by the ashtray, then received a written note from him saying that smoking multiple cigarettes was disgusting and warning me to empty the ashtray afterward. He said it was a health-related establishment. I wouldn't expect a restful night without that creepy feeling. Just my honest opinion.

Our airline canceled our flight at the last minute, so we couldn't make our booking. The host understood when we got in touch and refunded us in full, even though he didn't have to. From what I can tell, the negative reviews all come from one group of travelers upset that they couldn't leave midway through their stay and get a full refund.

That vintage look is so lovable, like stepping into a time capsule. Coffee is free, and there's a pair of kitchens, one vegan and one non-vegan. 😍😍😍

The beds were comfy, and the host was really friendly. Breakfast had lots of choices, with very nice products, though you have to prepare it yourself.
