NoMo SoHo

I don’t understand all the negative comments. We were very satisfied and would definitely come back. The location is excellent and in a safe area, the beds are comfortable, and room service is great. Staff were very friendly, even over Christmas and New Year’s. The beautiful entrance made coming in a pleasure, and the restaurant is charming too. The AC and heating may be noisy for someone sensitive to sound, but it didn’t bother me. The bathroom door wouldn’t close fully from inside, though we could manage. Our deposit refund was handled smoothly. I’ve stayed in many hotels, and I can recommend this one.

I can’t speak to the rooms or location because I chose not to check in. I came to shop in SoHo, and the Nomo hotel looked trendy. The bellmen were welcoming when I arrived, but that was the end of the good experience. At check-in, they tried to charge more than the amount charged to hold the room on my card. I understand hotel fees, taxes, and a security deposit, but their total was higher than those would explain. The clerk talked in circles as I asked about the discrepancy, then said the reservation had been declined. It turned out Amex had declined it because of suspected fraud. The whole thing felt sketchy and left me uneasy. I travel often and have never had a check-in like that. I found another hotel at the last minute, where the process was seamless as it should be. It was a hassle, but worth it. Be careful.

The room was spacious for New York, the place was clean and pleasant, and the staff were super friendly. There’s a nice gym, and the location is very good, in Soho near the shopping streets. I’d definitely stay again. Based on my experience, this hotel deserves a much better average than 3.9, accurate to Feb 2026.

I just finished three nights at Nomo Soho and enjoyed the stay overall. The location is fantastic, staff are friendly, check-in was quick and easy, and the daily room cleaning was detailed and great. The restaurant downstairs is delicious too. I liked the fish tacos at lunch and the avocado toast for breakfast or brunch. Our corner Premium King had an incredible view, but the room’s condition really needs attention. The closet walls, bathroom wall base, headboard, and bed frame showed shocking wear and tear. The hotel is amazing, but from my experience and other reviews I’ve seen, it needs serious repairs. There was no refrigerator, which was a little inconvenient for water and drinks but not a big deal. I was also surprised to get a $6 delivery fee for room service on my second day because the food came from the kitchen. I hadn’t been charged that the day before. I was pleased by how friendly everyone was whenever I called with a question or ordered room service. The service and location are the main reasons I’d return, though the cosmetic problems should be addressed.
