The stay started poorly on Saturday because of what seemed to be an internal staffing issue, and it affected my wife and me. It wasn’t the welcome we’d expected. By Sunday, though, the Directors, Management Team, Executive Office, and Guest Relations team had personally stepped in. Their apologies felt sincere, they were professional, and they clearly appreciated the feedback. We felt heard. From then until our departure on Thursday, everything was spectacular. The team’s personal attention, thoughtful gestures, and genuine warmth completely changed the experience. They went above and beyond to make the rest of our stay special, and they succeeded. We left grateful and impressed, and we’ll absolutely return. That kind of accountability and leadership is what true 5-star hospitality means to me. Thank you to the whole team for turning a difficult start into an unforgettable stay.

I wish my work trip had left me more time to enjoy this hotel. The rooms were spectacular, the beds comfortable, the interior chic, the lounge food phenomenal, and the river and Central Park views beautiful. The people were lovely too. Three people especially made the stay: Dustin at the front desk sorted out a problem with my first room efficiently and moved me to another without fuss. He was kind and hospitable throughout. John was the best breakfast server, full of positive energy that made the meal memorable. He’s a real gem in the MO experience and deserves recognition. And when I left my Kindle in a room, Alex in security was gracious on the phone, quickly found it, and arranged overnight shipping so it would reach me before my next trip that weekend. I hope I can stay again soon!

The kids enjoyed the stay as much as we did, and the hotel worked beautifully for our family of four. It felt comfortable and warm, and the staff were attentive to what we needed. Everyone was kind and caring, making us feel welcome from arrival. The Mandarin Oriental New York is beautiful and very well located. Our room had breathtaking views, and waking up to that skyline was unforgettable. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and nicely served. We had a flawless stay and would happily return. The location was convenient for getting around and close to the subway, while still peaceful enough to rest after busy days. The hotel delivered the high standard we expected and then went beyond it.
