Quality Inn Jamaica

The manager was nice and the TV worked, but the rooms were absolutely disgusting and had no soundproofing. In multiple rooms we were shown, there was literal bile across the mattress, walls, and bathroom floor. There were no smoke detectors, the hair dryer plug was broken, and debris was in the heater. This place feels like a dumpster fire waiting to happen.

We stayed one night to be closer to the airport, and it was a BIG mistake. The room was filthy and I was afraid to touch anything. Weed smell was everywhere. At 12:30am, a very loud couple woke me up. Rooms can be rented by the hour. Enough said.

I stayed here in 7/2021 and almost drove right past it, thinking of all the other dumps, I mean hotels, lol. But once I stopped, the place got a plus from me. The rooms were spacious, kept clean, and free of smoke smell, and the lobby and elevator were always clean too. It was nice for a quick stay. The night shift security guy watches the safe parking lot out back from 8pm-6am, very much guy. The front desk workers were helpful both day and night, and the cleaning lady was nice and helpful as well. There's a kitchen downstairs for anyone who needs a microwave, can't beat that. Mmmmmmm, really bad and really sad. There was a bed and a bathroom with a flushing toilet, but everything felt dirty. The bathroom fan didn't work, and the room stayed humid. The A/C did blow cold once you stood on the bed to turn it on. It was noisy, with almost no difference between the sound inside and outside the room. There were lots of scary people, men, often in the hotel. The fitness center stores cleaning supplies. There were practically no lights or trash cans, and the room's only light was also a black light. The best part was the nice man at the front desk. After we tried our one key card in the door for about 8 minutes, he brought two new working ones because he just knew we needed them. The location is close to the air train and subway, and also close to a live chicken store.
